Not everyone but most patients with cancer undergo some pains before, during and after the treatment. Cancer pain can take many forms - sharp, burning, dull, or achy. Such pain can be severe, intermittent, constant, moderate, or mild. How much pain you feel may depend on your type of cancer, where it's located,or your tolerance of pain. However, most cancer pain is not beyond your capacity.

The Pain & Palliative Care Unit at Hope & Heal Cancer Hospital and Research Center provides some treatments for cancer pain management. Your healthcare provider may offer a combination of pain management treatments to securepossible relief, includingover-the-counter pain relievers, medicines derived from opium, procedures to block pain signals, and various integrative therapies.
